Training Practice
GP Trainees
We are a training practice and you may be offered an appointment with a GP registrar. These doctors are fully qualified will have had experience in several hospital specialties. They are completing their specialist training as a GP.
We also teach medical students and sometimes you may be asked to see the doctor or nurse with a student present. You will always be asked beforehand if this is acceptable and you may ask for the student to withdraw if you prefer to have your consultation in private.
Rush green medical centre is accredited for the training of GP Trainees (formerly GP registrars). These are doctors in advanced stages of their training. They are fully qualified doctors and may be consulted with confidence. You should be able to book appointments with the GP trainee in a similar way to the other doctors. Sometimes these consultations are recorded , but this is purely for teaching purposes within the practice and your consent will duly be sought at all times.
Foundation Doctors
Our Practice is also accredited to take foundation year doctors (FY2). Foundation doctors like GP Trainees are fully qualified medical doctors who want to gain experience in general Practice.
Medical Students
We are actively involved in undergraduate Teaching – and do get get medical students mainly from the Barts. and London medical School who come to our practice for varied periods to gain experience in the community. All your interaction with medical students will be duly supervised by one of the Medical or Nursing staff.
